                           Cross Country!!

My tummy has butterflies, this was it, cross country. I was a bit puffed before it even started. I was in the lead for a while. I was still in the lead, I jumped the hurdles climbed the stairs and walked the wood. This was it the final lap, I wasn't puffed so I would still be able to sprint. Jack zoomed past me, I would overlap him, but he's in Kikorangi too so I wouldn't mind. I tried a bit to overlap him but my legs were ready to drop! I passed the finish line and my team was yelling "Nice Job Jago".

Samoan Tattoo

Today we looked at a few videos about traditional Samoan tattoos and why some people get them. There are pe'a for men, and malu for women.  We found out that the traditional method of tattoo is painful and takes a long time.  It is a mark of courage to wear the pe'a or malu.

 After that we drew some awesome designs and here are some of them;

                                          Our class  has done these AWESOME! Samoan tattoo patterns

There are meanings for the different markings
